A legacy of service, and a future of impact

The Rotary Club of Lacombe has been a cornerstone of community service since 1950, when a small group of local leaders first came together under the banner of “Service Above Self.” Since then, the club has grown in both size and impact—leading local initiatives, championing youth programs, and supporting global efforts like polio eradication through Rotary International.

Our Evolution

In 2010, recognizing a need for more flexible meeting options and wider participation, Lacombe Rotary Daybreak was launched. For over a decade, the two clubs worked side by side—doubling down on service, sharing leadership, and deepening their reach in the community.

In 2023, these two clubs officially merged. It wasn’t a reset—it was a step forward. Combining resources and relationships, the new unified club continues to serve with renewed energy and vision.

Making a difference—then and now

From early projects like the Rotary Carol Festival (1954) and Rotary Bonspiel (1962), to longstanding commitments like Meals on Wheels, youth exchanges, and the Food Bank Drive (launched in 2010 as Stuff a Bus), our club has consistently shown up for Lacombe. We’ve built playgrounds, funded scholarships, supported emergency relief efforts like ShelterBox, and helped prepare young leaders through camps like RYLA, RYPEN, and Adventures in Citizenship.

Looking ahead

Today, the Rotary Club of Lacombe is still growing, still serving, and still inviting others to join us in building a stronger, more connected community—right here at home and around the world.
